4. Festival
“This is the season we go to visit the dead
And we dance
With the ghosts of our ancestors”
He said.
Onwards for me
I have another life
And I’m invisible here anyway
And as I count my souvenirs, and the days
I yearn the excitement of a kinder’s surprise
In living colour, I look forward
to flying back
To celebrate family spirit
Now dreaming about the return
Swerving the braille blocs
Past the settling sun
Through the window
I see workers
Existing In silo
Slurping strings
Away from their neighbours
Alas, they are actors too!
So I’ll return
During whence we go to visit our graves
We’ll celebrate together
We’re already dead.
5. Grand Typhoon
There’s a typhoon coming
Well, I think anyway
I’ll still be heading deepest rural Nippon,
as I follow the rising sun to the rolling tea gardens
Reminding me of home
I’ll roll with the waves
They’ll crash onto me
Not my dreams though,
I’ve lived them
Slowly
And now all at once
6. Hiroshima
Peace, again
Now rolling in the ruins,
Waiting for the moon's hold,
Yearning for moons past,
Till two ships pass in the night.
Seven flights,
And twenty-one pilots later,
Sleeping at last.
